“The Dark Knight” Part of the “Made in Chicago” Movie Series @ Auditorium Theatre

When I heard about the screening of “The Dark Knight” at the Auditorium Theatre, I immediately reserved my seat. This is a beloved movie that was filmed in Chicago in 2007. I wanted to see this movie and all it’s glory on the big screen again. I played a hospital patient as an extra in the movie. That is the scene where the hospital was blown up by the joker (Heath Ledger). The building that was demolished was the old Brachs candy factory on the west side of the city. They completely transformed the building to look like Gotham General Hospital.

In celebration of the Auditorium Theater’s 125th Anniversary, the “Made In Chicago”, movie series continued on March 19th. The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University transformed into Gotham City, a free series that pays homage to some of the most iconic films made in or about Chicago. Director Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster hit, “The Dark Knight,” featuring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman and the late Heath Ledger as the nefarious Joker in an Academy Award® winning performance.

Through an online poll, Chicagoans voted for “The Dark Knight,” which was filmed in Chicago in 2007, wherein the Windy City served as the iconic backdrop for Gotham City. One of the most commercially successful films in the history of cinema, the 2008 drama pits Batman against his fateful nemesis, the Joker, a man determined to wreak chaos on the good people of Gotham. With the odds stacked against him, the caped crusader faces his most difficult psychological challenge yet, questioning his motives and whether he can save Gotham from the clutches of the city’s latest super criminal.

Guests were invited to descend upon “The Batcave” at 6 p.m. for a cocktail hour with Batman-themed drinks and to take photos taken in a comic book-inspired photo station.

Joe began his career at age 15 as a volunteer meteorologist at the National Weather Service. A year later, he joined CNN as an international archivist and media manager. He navigated his way to CNN’s National Content Center where he handles wide-ranging editorial duties, which include managing live field crews and overseeing news gathering in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. He has shared two Peabody Awards, for CNN’s Gulf Oil Spill coverage and CNN’s Arab Springs coverage in the Middle East and North Africa.

Sutton’s news coverage has included the death of “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker; the Ebola scare in the U.S.; the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri; actor Tracy Morgan’s near fatal car accident; Superstorm Sandy; the Colorado movie theater shootings; the Sandy Hook shootings; the extramarital affair of Gen. David Petraeus, who was then head of the CIA; the fall of champion cyclist Lance Armstrong; the Boston Marathon bombings; and the involvement of Alex Rodriguez and other Major League Baseball players in performance-enhancing drugs.

He shares this experience as a motivational speaker who inspires and teaches young people how to achieve success in corporate America. He is a highly sought-after guest lecturer on news gathering at colleges, but Joe’s responsibilities have also ventured outside the realm of hard news into entertainment. He was selected to travel to Los Angeles to cover the 2013 Academy Awards for CNN. He has also interviewed many celebrities and other entertainment figures while covering news stories involving celebrities and fashion trends.

Meet Pelin Taser, our new Associate Manager of Creative Services at Sassy B Worldwide Productions Inc. Pelin is excited to be working with all our clients. Pelin is thrilled to be a part of the team at Sassy B Worldwide Productions.

Pelin Taser  was born in Istanbul, Turkey and received her bachelor’s degree in ESL (English as a Second Language).  After working for Turkish Airlines for 6 years she moved to US and worked as a manager in sales. She took the opportunity to work for United Airlines as a flight attendant in 1999.  She has experienced many international destinations and cultures until 2010. She took time off from flying and established her Tour & Travel Consultation Company in Chicago.

She worked with variety of committees of some events and festival organizations. She also represented variety of Turkish and European  Medical companies in trade shows. She is a tour guide and a certified medical interpreter.

Mrs. Taser states her life philosophy as follows:

“I love to accomplish challenging tasks. We only grow if we do the things we think we cannot do. We may not know every answer; however the answers are usually not in us or in others but in front of us. To make a difference in our society team work is very important.”

She is in the process of receiving her MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of management and resides with her Husband, who is an artist and an Industrial designer and her 11 year old son  who loves acting and modeling.

Worldwide Productions Inc. Keven is excited to be working with all our clients in establishing new business opportunities, securing speaking and appearance engagements for our clients.

Keven is an accomplished student of Project Management & Business Administration at Colorado Technical University plus 7 Management Certificates acquired. He also holds a publishing degree from Institute for Children’s Literature.

Keven has 7 years accomplishment as a Superintendent of Construction, directing 4-Multi-Million dollar new home building projects in Illinois. All projects Keven directed came in on time & on budget with all Procurement in positive residuals.

Keven owned a residential/commercial construction company, managed & worked for 10 years.

Keven is 34 year ASEP Certified Sports Coach of basketball & baseball plus is a 19 year owner, Manager & player of a men’s baseball team.

Keven had been an Extras/Actor with several TV shows such as “Chicago Fire”, “Chicago PD”, “Betrayal”, “Sirens”, “Crisis”, “Mind Games”, “Doubt”, plus MTV’S “Under Employed”.

Keven has also been an Extras/Actor for the movie “Divergent” which premieres March 21st. 2014. He also acted in speaking roles for Indie Films “Johnny” & “The Coming”. Keven also has Acted & Choreographed a Martial Arts scene in an Indie film called “Bravo 1”.

Keven is accomplished as a Tenor in his Choir in the local church plus recently has been a Congregational speaker too.

Keven participated in Off Broadway shows, singing, acting & dancing in his local church fund raising functions too.

Keven was Chairman & Director in several October Fests and Casino Night fund raisers too.
